Não se trata apenas da dor terrível durante a atrocidade em
si mas também da dor que sentirão - e do prazer que deixarão de sentir - por
toda sua vida, dali em diante, após terem sido mutiladas.
E não adianta nenhum intelectual apologista da ortodoxia
islâmica ou estudioso do Islã tentar tergiversar com argumentos de que a
mutilação genital feminina (que tem diversas modalidades, sendo a circuncisão
feminina uma delas mas não a única) data da era pré-islâmica pois, na prática,
ela é apoiada pela Sharia e pela imensa maioria de países ortodoxos islâmicos.
Sobre isto, aqui vai um artigo do excelente site Answering Islam, com citação do texto 'Umdat al-Salik', de Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri (d. 769/1368) - um manual clássico da lei religiosa islâmica - mostrando a real tradução do árabe do ensinamento islâmico sobre o assunto, desmascarando a falsa tradução feita por Nuh Ha Mim Keller, o qual, praticando taqyyia, tenta ocultar a verdade sobre a extirpação do clitoris ser obrigatória na ortodoxia islâmica:
"...However what the Arabic actually says is:
Circumcision
is obligatory (for every male and female)
by cutting
off the piece of skin on the glans of the penis of the male,
but
circumcision of the female is by cutting out the clitoris
(this is
called HufaaD). {bold emphasis ours}
The Arabic
word bazr does not mean "prepuce of the clitoris", it means the
clitoris itself (cf. the entry in the Arabic-English Dictionary). The deceptive
translation by Nuh Hah Mim Keller, made for Western consumption, obscures the
Shafi’i law, given by ‘Umdat al-Salik, that circumcision of girls by excision
of the clitoris is mandatory. This particular form of female circumcision is
widely practiced in Egypt, where the Shafi’i school of Sunni law is followed.
