Só gostaria de aduzir uma observação muito importante feita pelo leitor Daniel Fernandes  nos comentários à reportagem no site, sobre o problema das aulas incluírem os sábados: Não sou cristão nem sigo a religião de meus ancetrais mas reconheço que todas as tradições judaico-cristãs que são vegetarianas por motivos religiosos e que também guardam o sábado de forma mais tradicional levam isto muito a sério e certamente não poderão se inscrever, justamente por este único motivo.

"Here is a scientific article that offers an explanation for Hereditary Holocaust Syndrome. HHS is what you see in the children and grandchildren of holocaust survivors in Israel who walk around like zombies as if they had been in the death camps too. Is it possible that the trauma of the holocaust can be passed to children through the DNA? The answer, as suggested by this study, is Yes and No. Here's what the scientists did: They trained mice to fear the smell of cherries by shocking them whenever they were exposed to the smell of cherries. Just like Pavlov and his dogs (ringing a bell before feeding dogs taught dogs to salivate when they heard a bell) these scientists taught mice to be afraid when they smelled cherries. Okay, that's pretty straightforward--basic conditioning through positive or negative reinforcement. The amazing thing happened when they exposed the offspring of these conditioned mice to the smell of cherries: they TOO showed signs of fear! Somehow the offspring AND their offspring INHERITED a fear of cherries! How? Not through genetic mutation...that is, the DNA of the parent mice was not changed and then passed to the baby mice. The inheritance occurred through EPIGENETIC MUTATION. Epigenetics is the process by which DNA gets expressed in the individual. For example, everyone gets 2 copies of DNA--one from their mom and one from their dad. BUT only 1 copy of the DNA gets "turned on" in each cell. You may get either your mom's nose or your dad's nose, but not both. Epigenetics is the complex set of processes by which the body selects which gene (your mom's or dad's) gets expressed. The scientists found that the trauma experienced by the parent mice caused epigenetic changes that were inherited by the baby mice. How exactly these epigenetic changes are encoded in the DNA is still a mystery. But Hereditary Holocaust Syndrome is no longer an urban legend...it is real!"

Apenas devemos corrigir uma assertiva totalmente equivocada da entrevistada sobre a situação de LGBTIs, em comparação por ela feita com os genocídios das minorias religiosas no Oriente Médio.

Embora LGBTIs não estejam sendo mortos em grande número por cristãos no nosso chamado mundo livre de forma sistemática como nos genocídios, isto não significa que a minoria não esteja sendo morta simplesmente por serem o que são nestes países islâmicos - nem no nosso chamado mundo livre - pois isto é um fato já comprovado em ambas as culturas. 

No entanto, no mundo islâmico, eles são mortos em muito maior número - e com o respaldo das próprias leis em muitos destes países islâmicos ortodoxos que em nossos países de leis seculares, e até nos ditos moderados, devido à mentalidade das massas, sendo presos sob acusações como deboche ou similares - embora nem todos países de cultura cristã tenham, eles mesmos, leis LGBTI-friendly. 

LGBTIs são, inclusive, uma das minorias mais atacadas, tanto nos abrigos de refugiados da ONU ainda no Oriente Médio como nos do Ocidente! O fato já foi motivo de reportagem na Alemanha, na qual foi noticiado que será necessário criarem-se abrigos separados para LGBTIs vindos da região pelas agressões e ameaças que esta minoria tem sofrido pelos muçulmanos ortodoxos nestes abrigos

A minoria LGBTI nos países islâmicos é uma das mais vitimizadas por estes fundamentalistas e seus membros são até mais perseguidos que as próprias minorias religiosas e culturais, sendo mortos, muitas vezes, pelas próprias famílias!

The Kurds have their origins in the land of Karda. They are one of the indigenous people of the Middle East. More precisely, one of the indigenous people of south-eastern Turkey, north-eastern Syria, northern Iraq, north-western Iran and south-western Armenia.

The land of Karda was mentioned on a Sumerian clay tablet from the 3rd millennium BC and with that Sumerians meant the area between the south of Lake Van and the Zagros Mountains. Also, historical, linguistic and genetic studies point out to the origin of the Kurds being the Zagros Mountains in the northwest of Iran.  [1] [2]

The Babylonians referred to the Kurds as “Garda” and the Persians used the similar term to referrer to the people who were living around the Zagros Mountains in what is now northwest Iran. In 745 BC, the Assyrian king Tiglath-Pileser III declared war against a man by the name Kurti (Qurtie) and who was from the same area, the land of Karda. [3]

The ancient Kurds waged war with the Assyrians for almost 700 years. Later, an alliance of the Medes, the Elamites and the Kurds succeeded to bring down the Assyrian Empire in their areas. The Kurds coalesced with the Medes and adopted their language. The Medes have often been believed to be a starting point for the Kurdish ethnogesis. The reason why I said it is believed, because there is no strong proof of this yet, but also not one single scholar who has completely/strictly opposed to it either.

Corduene, which was an ancient region, which covered the land of Karda and some areas from Zagros mountains in present-day northern Iraq, was mentioned in many Jewish sources. Jewish sources traced the origins of the people of Corduene to the marriage of the mythical“Jinns” of King Solomon with beautiful Jewish women. Another the most interesting aspect in these legends is that, in the so-called Islamic Golden Age, King Solomon was also mentioned by the early Islamic scholars/authorities to explain the origin of the Kurds. Corroborated by a great deal of other historical documents and studies, Corduene remains the only region which can be considered as the most probable origin of the Kurds, with such reliable and solid evidences. That is the reason recent academic sources consider Corduene as the proto-Kurdish region. [4] [5] [6]

The greatest discovery which has helped to clarify the origin of the Kurds was made when dialectologists succeeded in proving that the Kurdish language does not belong to the Southwestern Iranian language subdivision, to which the Persian language belongs to. The Kurdish language belongs to the Northwestern Iranian subdivision.  [7]

There are tons of scientific theories, assumptions, claims, conspiracy theories and even some ludicrous rumors about the origin of the Kurds.

Here are some of such theories, claims and wild assumptions:

• The Kurds are Persians
  The Kurds aren’t Persians. The Kurds and Persians have lived together thousands of years and they have affected each other´s cultures and languages, however, they are still distinct peoples.
• There are no Kurds, they are mix of different people.
  There are still many among the Turkish people, including MPs and professors, who publicly claim that there are no such a thing as Kurds. That is the most absurd of all such claims, no doubt.
• The Kurds are Arabs
• The Kurds are actually Jews, because they are genetically close to each other.
  However, the sheer fact that they are genetically close to each other does not mean per se that they are same people.
